My first job killed me and I am grateful
My first out of the family business job was the most mind numbing 8 hours I have ever spent each week for two years. Imagine this. My family ran a large frozen food distribution business where we kids from an early age were put on task. Lifting kilos of produce in a cool room the size of Kmart, delivering pamphlets for hours on end, answering phones at home etc. And then I get a “Job” at Target in the health and beauty section where I had to put 4 items on a shelf over 4 hours. KILL ME NOW. I so appreciate though this first job as it taught me that boredom is death.
